How the bag came to be

The story behind WaniTas

WaniTas isn't backed by a large corporation with a marketing department, a boardroom, and a dozen people who need three meetings just to approve a bag.

No. It simply started in our home. 😉

I'm Richard, and together with my partner Esmeralda, I came up with WaniTas. While training with our horse, we noticed that a good training bag was surprisingly hard to find. So, as often happens when you think something can be done better: you make it yourself.

And that's where Wanita came in.

Wanita is our horse and the namesake of WaniTas. She might not have shares in the company, but she does have an important role: everything we make is eventually subjected to the ultimate horse test by her. And let me put it this way... her approval isn't easily earned. 😉

Esmeralda, meanwhile, is my most critical tester. She examines, uses, and evaluates the bags, and meticulously lets me know when something can be smarter, prettier, or more practical. She also regularly poses for the camera with a WaniTas in her hands.

That's how WaniTas came to be: out of a love for horses, a good dose of stubbornness, and the conviction that things can simply be better.

Every WaniTas is made by me personally, with attention to quality, ease of use, and the small details that make a difference.

No mass production. No assembly line. Just a good bag, made by someone who knows firsthand what it's like to train with horses.

And Wanita?

She has now officially lent her name to the brand.

Quite a nice career for a horse that hasn't sewn a single stitch itself.
